Rescheduled

Paytons surgery ended up being rescehduled. I was origianlly very upset about this as it was due to an insurance mess up. It has since been fixed and the baby is back on the schedule to have his little kidney fixed. The new date for surgery is Tuesday Febuary 21, 2012.

I am more than ready to have this get here and get it over with. I want to put this in the past.

I have a lot going on right now and I think some changes will be happening soon. All for the better. Some things I have been praying about and hoping for for a long time. Details to come.

Losing

Weight that is! I am doing it. I have been tracking all of my calories at My Fitness Pal. Funny that you do not realize how bad you eat until you right it all down! I am taking baby steps in this process. But this week I have done really good. I have also started working out. Last night I started Jilliam Micheals 30 day shred. Its a 20 minute work out that is supposed to show results in as little as 5 days. I am going to keep up with it and will post before and after pics!!

Starting the year off to a good start. Jaxon is doing great in school. The second semester just ended and he once again got straight A's. I could not be any more proud. He is such a smart kiddo. And super sweet to boot!
Serena is still loving Kindergarden. She is not graded with letter grades yet, but does very well. How did I get such smart children? Thank God for that. Rena is as sassy as ever and loving winter. She likes to play in the snow and so she was in hog heaven yesterday when we got our first snow.

Payton is my little sweetheart. His personality is starting to come through. I think he will have a sense of humor like his daddy. Lord help us all! He giggles at the weirdest things. He is also trying to copy things that you do and sounds that you make. It is so fun to watch him concentrate and make things happen.

Happy Friday. Have a good weekend.

Paytons Surgery

Its really happening. I got the call from the hospital this morning to confirm what time we have to be there. Made me nervous just talking to them. I have known since Payton was 2 weeks old that he would have to have this surgery. It doesnt make it any easier. This is the first time that one of my children will have to have surgery. I know that he is in good hands and God is watching over us. I am still really nervous about sending my baby away to surgery.

Here are the details that I know so far. Wednesday 1/18/12( my birthday!) Payton will have to have a bath in the evening and have his hair washed. He can eat normally all night that night.
Thursday 1/19/12: Payton can have formula until 7am. From 7am until 11am he can have clear liquids. This is a blessing because P doesnt like to miss meals! We have to be at the hospital at 11:15am for pre op. The surgery is scheduled to start at 1pm. This is a 3 hour procedure. He will have to be in recovery for several hours. As of right now he is scheduled to stay the night Thursday. Tim and I are allowed to stay with him. We will be discharged Friday morning.

I am so thankful that we have good doctors close to home that can take care of Payton. I have ben praying everyday for a quick and pain free recovery for our happy little boy. I will be updating on here Thursday. The hospital has wi fi and we will have our computer and cameras with us.
